We are now nine months away from launching our full time travel adventure of a roving retirement. When I retired almost two years ago, I thought I had tons of time to get everything done before our 2026 launch date. Boy, was I wrong! I’m about six months behind on my to do list. Most of my overdue tasks have to do with home maintenance and updates before we put it on the market to sell. Other than painting, I don’t consider those tasks very fun, so I guess it’s no surprise I’ve been procrastinating.
I am making progress on purging a lifetime of belongings. I spend more time on Facebook Marketplace than I ever thought I would and am preparing for a March craft supply sale through a local company called Green Whimsy and a massive May garage sale. Contact us if you’ve admired pretty much anything we own; it could soon be yours! We plan to winnow things down to two suitcases and two carry ons, so we have quite a way to go.
The other significant project on my list is to get this blog up and running. So here we are with the first post! I expect future posts to be heavy with hopefully beautiful travel pictures and observations on life in far flung places. As of now, I don’t know how to insert pictures and my most recent ones are of items to sell online…not exactly exciting stuff. So stay tuned for more visually stimulating content! For now, thanks for visiting and wish us luck!
